UCIT Online Security is a hi-tech security company strictly focusing on video surveillance and remote monitoring technology designed to replace security guards in a variety of sectors. Sidney is the President and CEO of UCIT Online Security. He is the guiding force behind all corporate decisions and directions of the company. In 2003 Sidney founded UCIT Online Security as an innovative idea that developed into the largest and most experienced security video monitoring company in Canada. Sidney epitomizes what is possible for self-motivated Canadian entrepreneurs willing to assemble a credible business plan, attract seed capital and dedicate unlimited energy and sacrifice in pursuit of a dream.

With nearly a decade of experience in the security/surveillance industry, he began his career working for Vidair AG, a German aerospace company specializing in onboard video surveillance systems. While working at Vidair, Sidney successfully launched the North American Sales and Marketing operations in Toronto, Canada (1999) as well as the Sales and Technical Support Centre in San Antonio, Texas (2001).

Shortly after the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, Sidney was among a distinguished group of technical specialists invited by Boeing to provide a demonstration of a Cockpit Door Surveillance System. Following that engagement, the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) began allocating significant funds for further development of such systems.

In 2002 Sidney moved back to Toronto where he transformed his digital video knowledge he acquired in the aerospace industry into a business that would revolutionize the physical security industry. UCIT Online’s “live video monitoring” solution quickly got approval from most major insurance companies as a reliable replacement for on-site security guards. Sidney’s original focus on the construction industry catapulted the company into a multimillion dollar business, today UCIT Online is a dominant force in Manufacturing, Industrial, Commercial, Property Management and of course Construction Security.

Along with his corporate success, Sidney’s innovative business idea earned him the BDC’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Ontario in 2008.

Sidney is showing no signs of slowing down, in March 2010 UCIT Online bought Canadian Network Systems Group Inc. the developers of the DETEXI Video Management Software. According to Sidney this will give UCIT Online an even bigger competitive advantage as even the largest international security firms are dependent on 3rd party software.

Sidney attended Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec where he received a BA in Criminology.
